I've been bringing itthis lil photobooth into Oakland neighborhoods to create portraits and build community. I set up the booth at pop-ups (mostly in my driveway), sometimes at Lake Merritt, sometimes wherever neighbors gather. People come for free portraits. We share tea (usually some high mountain oolong I'm brewing). Strangers become neighbors. We laugh and crack jokes and we celebrate the range of diversity in images ands in life stories.
